I always find it interesting how many people step outside of the forums they use and communicate through email, IMs, or other social network programs. So what say you?

I am very very shy when it comes to initiating contact with people on the internet in a more private forum such as email or instant messengers. I'm also pretty bad at remembering to respond or being able to keep up conversations.

I am much better at these things in person.

I've spoken with a couple of people on twitter or on FB chat here on PM and even personal emails.

My desire for privacy has more to do with my family than with any of my friends, or any of you. I have a considerably judgmental, conservative family. (Aside from my parents, I don't think they care and have even made slight mention of receiving packages for review items and that any further info would be TMI.) They read my personal blog, so I just keep my sex/review blog separate from it. I probably shouldn't give a rat's ass what they think, but I try to keep from making waves (or gossip).

Other! I only very recently joined the community, but I am absolutely open to making friends here and communicating outside of EF. I think I've learned more about sex, life and love from friends I've made online throughout the past few years than I have from anyone I've known in my real life. I'm always welcoming new friendships. And I definitely hope to make some here!

I just became a member a few months ago now, but I have not tried to communicate with anyone outside of the community. But I am not opposed to it, just haven't done it yet, and my life is very busy right now.

I voted other because A) I might be in contact with EF members and just not know it, and B) I'm not against being in contact with members outside of here, it's just that the opportunity has not arisen and that scenario wasn't on the list of options.

I put other.. I'm friends with Jobthingy through my wife Raggedy, so I definitely communicate with other EF members on a regular basis, but not any I've met through the site.. which is what I'm guessing you're going for?
