I usually drive somewhere between 5 and 10 mph over the limit. I've gotten a speeding ticket going only 12 over, and I don't want to deal with that again.

I voted 10 over, but it really depends on where and what the limit is.

I usu go 5 mph. I actually had a cop tell me that they usually don't give tickets unless it's 7 mph or greater over the speed limit.

Five to ten over, without fail. Unless I'm in a school zone/it's a holiday, then I remain on the dot.

This poll doesn't have answers for people who drive under the speed limit, like my girlfriend. I'd hate to e the people driving behind us!

Depends--on highway i usually drive over the limit. But in residential neighborhoods i drive close to the limit.

I usually stick exactly to the speed limit. At least, I did when I used to drive. I'm sad to admit that I haven't in a while. I need to get back to driving soon.

I just try to keep up with traffic which is generally 5-10 miles over. I tend to go faster on highways.

5 over usually if I am not in a rush. But back in Atlanta downtown, if you aren't doing 15 over, you are getting passed. So it depends.

I chose 5 over but it varies. In town I drive pretty much the limit but I drive 5-10 over the limit in more rural areas. If I'm on a long open stretch with little other traffic around that can creep up to 10+ over the limit. It depends on the weather conditions as well though... if it's icy or raining I'd likely be driving under the limit... it all depends on what the road conditions are like.

I do my best to not do more than 10 over, but when the road is empty my foot can't help its self. But when I'm driving in certain states I make sure I don't do more than 5 over.

between 5-10 sometimes more. Depends on if I'm on an empty freeway or if I'm on a residential street (which I will go the speed limit or less as I'm very VERY conscientious of children who might be playing).

Usually about 5 mph over. I actually will set my cruise control (even in town on little residential roads) because it's hard for me to stay right there and not go faster. lol

After a few warnings and tickets when I was younger I decided it was best to just drive the limit in the city, and five over on the freeway. Of course now I live in the city and just take the train, so it's not an issue.

It really depends on what road I'm on. I'll drive on the dot at school zones and residential streets, and 5 mph over everywhere else inside city limits. On freeways I'm usually 10 or 15 mph over if nobody else is in front of me. One thing that annoys me the most is when drivers cruise across an intersection with red light cameras while there's still a long line of cars following them!

That reminds me, this morning I was taking my youngest to school down a strict 25 mph zone, going about 28.... It's residential and the cops are often there, exept today they weren't . Well today some "b" is riding my tail because she is in a hurry, and she has the nerve to pass me in a no passing zone!! I called the cops just to let them know they need to monitor that street even more. If she was late for work or taking her child (who was too young to be in the front seat of her car)to school, that is her fault, no one else should be put in danger for that!

I have a terrible led foot & a lust for speed. =/
Combine with a short temper and I probably shouldn't be driving.

I either drive the speed limit or no more than 5 mph over. Driving tends to make me anxious, and the faster I go, the worse it is.
