Do you get regular dental checkups or cleaning? Are you scared of dentists?

I hate the dentist.
They freak me out so much. I actually got kicked out of a dentist office because I was freaking out too much .

i've never feared the dentist, and i had two years of painful surgeries and braces, and my wisdom teeth out. the only time i ever hated going was when my hygienist was off and i had a substitute who had no idea what she doing during the cleaning.

now that i have graduated university and am unemployed with no benefits (i an in Canada fyi), i can no longer go on 6 month cleanings.

I dont, and I dont have health insurance so I dont hav all the extra $$ for dentist appts.

I do get scared of dentists, but when I had insurance I'd go regularly.

Luckily I have a local dentist that will charge like $65 a tooth to pull and hes a really good dentist. I'm trying to get an appt for next week

I've got great dental insurance, but have never used it because I'm terrified of the dentist. I know there isn't much logic in paying for insurance that you never use, but I keep it for emergencies, and also the rest of the family.

I'm not afraid of the dentist, although I do get a little anxious before I go. I don't go as often as I should, but that's largely for financial reasons.

I go, but only because my SIL is a Dental Technicianal Helper Thing,

(That's code for - I'm not sure what she is ) but she has a license and she turns the gas on high.

The Doctor she works for says that's probably not a good idea because my best friend just had a baby and I want my SIL to have a baby but she wont. We need a baby in the family. I thought the SIL said she was going to have a baby and then she said no - she wasn't... so I started sobbing. All that gas made me crazy!

Yes to be a certified nutritionist in the states you have to go to school.
