I've been using the internet for decades to some degree or other, but in the past few years I've really reached a point where most of my social and business interactions happen there. Everything from shopping and banking to participating in fandom activities happens online, and...

I didn't realize just how dependent on it I was until I moved this past week and haven't been able to get internet access right away. I've gone as far as typing out super long emails and blog entries on my phone, and realized just how few DVDs and such I owned when suddenly streaming wasn't an option.

So how many of you are net junkies like me?

I'm an internet addict through and through. If I wake up in the middle of the night I check my emails and sometimes Twitter. If I didn't have access to the internet I would certainly die.

I am on the internet for two of the businesses I have, Eden-of course!, my new web design classes and porn downloads. Yes I miss it when our area gets knocked off the internet--but luckily it comes back on in a day or so!!

I have been going crazy. I'd actually say that it's quite an addiction, really. I've been addicted to the Internet since about middle school. And now, at my girlfriend's house where I live, it's not in our budget to have cable or Internet. At first it was pretty hard, but now I'm mostly okay. I do have an iPhone which I can use, but I have limited data, so I have to watch how much I actually use it for my normal Internet usage.

I use public venues a lot these days. One day I hope we can afford it at home again so that we can finally access Netflix again.

Unfortunately I too am a net junkie. However I live in a small town so without it I would be truly miserable as I don't connect with the folks who live around here. That's why I love social media.

Plus I've gotten really into blogging. As a child before I had the internet I always wrote and created things but I feel as though my output as surged significantly since my family got the net when I was a teen.

As an adult there was about a year where I had to go without so I would visit the public library a couple of times a week for an hour. I also cleaned our apartment a lot, lol.

Yes. I love the internet and use it for everything almost all day long. I don't know what I'd do with myself if we didn't have it. I go insane just waiting a few hours when it goes down randomly during a storm or something, LOL!

The first hour is the world for me, then I kind of resent it when it comes back on. I usually do all my reading online, but have a couple of books I save for those power outage days/weekends.

There are times when it's nice to be away from it, but there are times when even a short outage makes me nuts. Guess we'd all better brace for the apocalypse, because it won't be the food shortage or the fire monsters that get us, it'll be the 'net outages.

We lost power for a few days from this past weeks storm. NO internet was the WORST OF IT. Worse then "no TV or light". Internet has become our outreach to everyone we know..and our link to the world.
