I used to when I was younger. My Man and I used to go camping all the time, and when we had our babies, we'd take them with us.
As I've gotten a bit older sleeping on a cold ground, even on a blow up or foam mattress hurts my body (I have fibromyalgia and My Man has arthritis, although he denies it) and we had a nightmare camping trip in the South when our youngest was a toddler. There was supposed to be a "waterfall" near our campsite, it turned out to be a site that was on different levels (great for a toddler) and the "waterfall" was a drainage pipe. I was miserable and there was a "stream" running through the middle of our campsite and I thought the baby was going to fall into it (of course, she was fascinated by the stream) and I whined and worried the entire time. It was the last time I went camping and probably will be the last time ever.
Vacation shouldn't be
harder than real every day life. Camping is. I want a warm, soft King Size bed, room service, a spa, good shopping and a fire place in the room, plus a Jacuzzi and lots of nice Zagat rated restaurants nearby is my idea of a good vacation. My Man's idea of a vacation is living in the mud, like an animal and working all day to secure firewood, food and water. Needless to say, we haven't been anywhere in several years....
