Do you like to camp?

Contributor: geliebt geliebt
Nooooo!
I hate dirt, bugs, not sleeping in a real bed, not having a real bathroom, not having a real place to cook, not having electricity...
I don't like camping!

We were both scouts. We now prefer to "camp" at places with nice beds and room service!!!(and NO bugs..bedbugs included).

We actually were in a RITZ CARLTON for sight seeing in a city famous for parks, and yet it was a RAINY, HORRIBLE day, so we got muffins and yogurt and spread the bedspread on the floor in our room and had a PICNIC in the room!!!! That was a WINNER for us!!! We are glad some folks enjoy the great outdoors. We happen to enjoy the GREAT "indoors".

Our friends are big time campers. Just went to Yosemite. They said you could hear the cell phones, the INTENET TV shows and see the blue glow of computer, video game screens and cell phones ALL OVER any campsite.

There was actually a a couple with a MICROWAVE mini oven, connected to their SOLAR SUITCASE outside the tent!!!! Of course, they were watching the COOKING CHANNEL all evening...while in a TENT!!!! (YES, somehow they got CABLE or INTERNET access to it).

We love VISITING these "fairs" but to actually live like that for any length of time? There is a reason those folks in the 1200's to 1600's had a life expectancy of about 34.

I may be persuaded to change my opinion, if a hunky man wanted to take me away for a weekend of outdoor sex, by a secluded lake front, ... more
We found it works just as well at a Ritz or Hilton and you know what...that marble Jacuzzi is WAY nicer then a cold secluded lake. Plus, less threat from bears and NO mosquito's.

I love camping, because every summer I go on several week camping trips with my family. It's fun if you do it right.
I am HAPPY folks have this kind of family bonding. We do the same "bonding" but do it with weekend trips to NYC to see a play, or going to some world class museum exhibit. Different strokes for different folks...but the fact that you do it as a FAMILY affair is what REALLY matters here.

Ha, ha. We feel the same way about getting away to just museum roam or to see a play on Broadway for a three day weekend, once in a while. ANY break from routine that works for YOU, is the right one.

Holiday Inn is CAMPING. Motel 6 is PRIMITIVE camping. Ritz Carlton is "resort camping"!!!

Yup...he spoils me and that is fine (indoor spoiling).

YES! I used to be really hard core about it. Like weeks at a time, but now, rarely do I get to go.

I like camping when I have the free time to do it. It's just hard to wrangle up all of the gear since it's not something I do particularly often.
