Do you read through threads before posting?

It really irks me when people comment with things like "I don't know what ___ is" or answer a question incorrectly ("I think the answer is A but I'm not sure, maybe someone else knows" when the answer is B and has already been posted) after a definition or response has already been posted! At best, they seem careless, and at worst they look like point hunters (posting "idk" in response to a question that has received several answers doesn't contribute much, come on).

In some cases I totally understand! A 40-page-long 'EF Should Carry' thread is a lot to read through, and duplicates might accidentally be suggested, but for threads less than a page long? I just don't know. So! How much are you willing to read before you post? Or do you post first and then read others' responses? Or do you not read other people's responses at all?

I rarely/never read through forum threads, before or after I post

I always read through threads completely, no matter their length

I only read through responses if I am looking for information, not if I'm offering solutions
2
I only read responses if there's one page of them or less
I will read responses if there are less than five pages. Any more than that is too much!
2
I'll read up to 15-20 pages, anything more than that is ridiculous!
2
I post first and read later
I read first and post later

I just read until I get bored, there's no way I'm going through 3000+ pages!

I can't read!/What's a thread?/There's a forum here? Where?! (the obligatory other)

I remember reading a post like this before but I do love the topic.

I try to read every page of people's comments. Simply because everyone has an opinion and I like to see how other people think.

I may not always comment on the threads I read because someone may have already said what I think.

I try to read through them all, but sometimes it's just too much. Usually if that's the case I decide not to post.

If it's an opinion thing I probably won't read it all but if someone is asking for a specific answer, I'll read to see if it was answered or if I could provide any additional info.

It depends what the thread is about, but I usually try to read through at least most of the posts because I would want the same courtesy extended back to me. After all, why post if no one's gonna read it?

I read. I'm annoyed by people who read the first post and then carry on in panic when a response has already been given - especially if it's something related to EF's policies (like returns). Although it is comedic (or sad) when someone repeats a question and the answer was in the post one or two spots before theirs.

I'll read through several points. If I have a question, I'll make sure that nobody answered before speaking though
