Do you still have your tonsils?

I had mine, along with my adenoids, removed when I was 4. I did much better without them, but I had lots of problems before that. At the time, I believe it was a more common procedure for children than it is today. Do you have your tonsils?

I still have mine, I wish I didn't though. I've been told many times by different doctors that I have more tissue back there then the average person does.

I had mine removed a few years ago and I have rarely been sick since having them removed. Before the surgery I was sick all the time.

I had mine removed 3 years ago. It kind of sucked having it done so late in life, but I was getting sick all the time with variations of strep and respiratory infections. I've been sick maybe twice since I got them removed.

Had my adenoids removed when I was about 10 (bad idea, almost died due to complications), but my tonsils are still with me. I strongly believe that there are no "extra" parts in a human body, so nothing should be removed unless it is completely necessary.

I guess I still have mine, since I don't remember getting anything removed from my body, except wisdom teeth....
