One of my roommates in college got some for us to keep as pets. They were okay. We kept them in a cage and didn't really let them run around free too much...since we were in the dorms at that point.

I grew up on a farm though so I don't typically think of them as pets.

They are cute, if they are domesticated mice. Mice that run around your house and get into things and are gross...not cute.

I had three pet mice as a kid, but I still didn't think they were cute. Of course, they were white with the red eyes.

I like all the small animals. I kept many different small rodents as pets for many years - they're ADORABLE! I never had mice though. So, maybe eventually.

I actually like rats more. Working in a pet shop, you learn to appreciate the friendlier animals, and rats are way more affectionate and inquisitive than mice and hamsters.

That is, of course, talking about domesticated rodents. I don't deal with wild ones, no matter how cute they look.

I think they're cute. However, their shit in my pantry is NOT cute, nor are they cute when they are running all over my kitchen. We had a warm winter, so we didn't have mice this year. But, we live in a wooded area and have mice almost every winter and I just hate them in my house.

They're cute in the wild, though.

One of our daughters had a pet mouse in a cage once. I found it weird, because we had to put poison and traps out for the ones who were invading our kitchen and we were buying food for the little piss and poop maker in the cage. She didn't live long (mice don't) and died on Christmas Eve one year. I cried. *sigh*

I even had the most adorable little white mouse named Pipsqueak as a pet. She was so sweet and loving that I don't think anyone would be able to be afraid of her once they saw her.

Mice are SO cute. We used to get mice in the basement and they were SO freaking cute and jumped around on their back feet like kangaroos! We only used the 'have a heart' traps that just trap them, but don't kill them. I would always drive them out to a field and set them free. I wanted to keep them so badly they were the cutest mice i've ever seen but alas I couldn't
