I hope not, actually. Then we'd REALLY have an overpopulation problem... Maybe once we're off colonizing other planets... Mayyyyybe.

No. It's not up to science. IT'S UP TO GOD. God didn't intend for us to live forever on earth. Only forever is in heaven.

I hope not. They might, but we'll probably end up killing each other due to the decline in the abundance of natural resources anyway.

I hope not, because that would kind of defeat the purpose of living.

I don't see the point in wanting to live forever. I like that there is an end to what we know as this life. Makes life much more fun and enjoyable!!!

yes and probably after I am dead. And more than likely transfer consciousness to a robot body.

maybe cloning our bodies will happen but that won't include our spirit, mind, & emotions - those can't be reproduced by anything manmade - the real "you" won't be living forever...

Want to know something scary? It's actually already just right around the corner.

But not in the physical sense we think of, I have read some interesting articles (awhile back) on this and Nano-tech. It's getting closer and more advanced to the point where small robots can scan different areas inside your brain for neural pathways or all sorts of things then essentially upload your consciousness into a computer, all your memories, personality, everything. Of course, this is still fairly far away from being reality.

So in a sense, when this is possible which could be in 10-25 years, everything that makes you up (not physically) can be uploaded to a computer and ta-da, immortality. Mind you, viruses, hardware damage etc can end that in a flash.

Now more on point, would I want to live forever? No. But If I could live 50-100 years longer? I think I would actually want that. So long as after 100 I still look and feel relatively young lol

Wasn't there something like that on Through the Wormhole a while back?
That would be pretty awesome, I know I wouldn't mind transferring my consciousness to a robot body.
=)
