I'm everything except a nerd. I was president of my Anime Club in high school, been to conventions, cosplayed, learned japanese just for anime and manga. I've been to ren fairs, obsess over fantasy novels, love Star Trek (but not DS9) and Star Wars and would love to go to comic-con. Did I mention I own almost every Nintendo system (NES, SNES, N64, GC, Wii, Game Boy, GBC, GBA)? I just don't know much about computing unless you want to talk to me about the Sailor Moon webpage and fan community.

My boyfriend and I are both so dorky/nerdy that, even while in the middle of sex, we call it frakking.

Cookie to anyone who gets the reference.

Write this down, just in case:

When your partner asks you "How do you want me?" when you're having sex, take a second and think about this line and how it may or may not be appropriate: "Raw and Wiggling". Gollum is NOT an acceptable sex coach in most situations.

Understood all but 2 references in White and Nerdy. Love Stargate, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and reading fantasy, but don't play D&D or go to ren faires. I don't go to ComicCon... but that has more to do with $$ than anything. I think The Guild is the best web show around. And I also love Charmed, Alias, and Supernatural. I'm a multi-level DORK. I've played a FF game or two... I've played a few other RPGs but refuse to enter the MMO world... because then I'd NEVER get ANY.THING. Done ever again! I love comic book movies and even read the Buffy Season 8.

I'm also married to a man who wants to get the word "NERD" tattooed to his forearm in Old English lettering because it would be "ironic." and wants to get the "1UP" mushroom tattooed to represent his faith in Christ.

We are nerdy dorks in almost every sense of the word. We just can't program anything.

Books are AH.MAZING. if you like that good vs. evil, epic battle for the sake of the world kind of thing.

What I like about it is that it starts as series about a kid who has a destiny but you don't really know what it is. You know there's a Big Bad, but not that he's actually going to do something about it. It starts off with adventures. Then as Harry gets older, the books mature too as do the things Harry and his friends deal with.

The movies... well, you know they can't fit 1000 pages into 2.5 hours too easily, so there are liberties and things left out. They're good, but books are better. I'm really excited about this last movie because they're doing it in two parts, which means that I'm going to get to see much more realized than I would if they only did it in one part.

But I definitely should have put band/music nerd up there! I totally used to be one too!

I like all kinds of things; science fiction, fantasy, anime, games. I like playing card games, though Magic is the only one I play right now, and not as much as I would like to. I use to play D&D, but was never very good at it. Some of my favorite anime are Death Note, Bleach, and Gundam. While I'm currently taking a break, I play WoW on Kirin Tor, Horde.

I like games and computers, though I wouldn't say I am a computer nerd. I am in college for an IT degree, since information technology pays a lot and allows me to use what good skills I have. I have built my computer myself before and am able to repair it easily.

Can you code HTML and/or Java? Can you build a computer? (wait! you already answered that!)

Just face it! You're a computer nerd! You might be a COOL computer nerd (I know LOTS of those), but you're still a computer nerd. (I wish I were a computer nerd!)

I'd rather be a computer nerd than the kind of nerd who still lives in Mom's basement, with a bad mullet, and 150 D & D manuals.... jus' sayin'!

Disclaimer: Above commentary was made in good, nerdy fun! Please no one get offended.

I'm such a nerd. My boyfriend tells me so all the time. Star Wars is my thing, seriously. Ask me anything haha. Also, I love learning. One time, I payed for a chemistry class by correspondance, through my local community college, that I did not need in any way. I just wanted to learn it for shits and giggles. I love me

Gamer, nerd, otaku. And I'm nerdy about stuff that everyone else seems to find boring...friends tease me because I downloaded/installed the VPN for my college to get to the scholarly sources, not just so I can access them when I'm away from campus, but mostly because I love reading academic articles in my free time. I read scholarly journals and science magazines more than novels (even though I like them too!)

I am also an amateur classic film buff.

I've never LARP'd or been to a Ren Faire, and the only conventions I've been to were one Buffy the Vampire Slayer back in the day and Blizzcon 09 and 10. But pretty much everything else fits.

I'm SO. SO. Jealous that you've gone to a Buffy convention. I'm a TOTAL Whedonite.

I'm a Whedonite, too (though I must confess, I didn't get into the second season of Dollhouse. But give me some BTVS or Firefly...). I still have the Buffy Soundtrack CD I bought there, and the comics (The Dust Waltz is the only one I can remember the name of off the top of my head) and some of the trading cards that I used to collect are in a box somewhere. But I did get rid of the dozens of pictures of David Boreanaz that lived on my bedroom wall!

How can you not be a Wheadonite? I mean Firefly is a masterpiece by far and none, the largest underestimated series at the time compared to now.

Also, I am having a BSG marathon this winter break and I can't wait!

I've found My People! You too Rckt56!

It's always dangerous for me to watch Once More with Feeling because I'll sing "Drawn to the Fire" for a month! Not to mention that I absolutely am a So You Think You Can Dance freak and Adam Shankman choreographed that episode? *le sigh*

Did you know that he has his name on Toy Story and some X-Men comics? Not to mention Season 8 of Buffy, which I only have 1 issue left to read.

The only thing with Firefly I cannot do is get into the comics, because I would be broke!

I completely LOVED Dollhouse. I think people couldn't see the Whedon in it until the second season, and by then most people had written it off. Season 2 has way more "Whedon" in it.

So, now that I've dorked myself up a bit... I'm going to go somewhere else and pretend to be cool.
