many of those who are active on forums do not abuse EF, but there IS alot of EF abuse going on. point farming and spamming is not unheard of. it's not 'the community' that has issues with these things, as i'd call it, but those who trickle in and out and use EF like some really marvelous silk scarf... but for toilet paper. that makes you rich. or something.

bad analogy, but you get me?

Hmmm... I will NEVER buy a used toy or sell one of my own but I do think its great to network with other people. The job market sucks so if EF wants to try to help out, thats great!

as of right now it looks like that is fine. i've heard they're creating rules/guidelines right now. not sure if Toy selling will be prohibited or not once they're done tweaking things.

Understandable. I'm just worried about somebody misinterpreting and moving into illegal ads because there aren't any clear-cut rules posted up yet. Or even doing it purposefully. There's already been questions/concerns about it turning into another Craig's List 'personals/casual encounters'. I'd hate to lose the service (and possibly EF) if someone decides "I'm gonna advertise my prostitution business/porn movie making that needs actors/etc" and then inadvertently gets some underage twit involved and leading it back to us. Likely over-exaggerated concerns, as I'm sure the same rules of the forums apply to the classifieds, but those same people you mentioned could really get us all into trouble since money and address information will be involved.

I would understand if they put restrictions on us selling things. Maybe only brand new still in box products and non-toy items such as books, body products, and lingerie.

I just now saw it!

Of course used personal items make me nervous, but there's always sticking to sterilizable materials and then sterilizeing!

Yes, we're definitely working on some ideas for guidelines now, but don't really expect too much in the "you can't do" category. I'm going to be the main point of contact for this if there are any problems or issues.

The biggest things we'll be keeping an eye out for is spamming/scamming/ille gal services. So, don't move your escort service or pot growing supplies to EdenClassifieds.

As for toys, it will definitely be a "use at your own risk" type of thing.

Seriously though, if anyone has those books...

I am happy to see that you have all been checking out the new classifieds, and I am really happy to hear all of your feedback.

I do see a lot of comments and opinions about adult related materials already. I do want to say that the classified section is for anything you want it to be for, so please do not view it as only a platform for 'adult products'. Honestly, we have something else in the works to address that specific topic (more details to come - stay tuned).

When putting this idea together, we thought there might be interesting opportunities to arise from the various sections; if there is a cool event taking place, or you are hosting an event, maybe by sharing it here, some other people from EF might show up. It is very cool getting to meet one other in person. Also, maybe you provide a service that you could extend to the community, like blog design, editing, or NES repair.

So give it a shot, have fun, be safe, and please keep letting us know what you think!

I plan on using it constantly! In fact, I already bought my new Jollies toy on there I am loving it.

I regularly send stuff off for recycling, but if I can skip that step and just find my items a better place to "live", without having to use resources up to recycle them...even better!

I am putting together ads for my items I want to sell. I have a couple ads, but want to really do the others ones right and then revise the ones I have on there. I have a bunch of jewelery I do not want, but the photos are going to be a bit tricky. Anyone have tips?

I think it's a great idea. It's like an in house recycling. If your not using it someone else might. As long as the items can be sterilized.

Kind of surprised. Didn't realize it, and it may be a good idea, but scams may overtake it.

I like that it's there. I'd post toys I don't use to see if anyone else wants it at some point.
