I was 17 and it was at the Great American Cookie Factory in the mall. I hated it and I still get nauseous at the idea of a cookie cake.

IHOP- I was 14 (no kidding, they hired me at 14)! I hated it too.

Cashier at a Wendy's at 15. It was horrible...I hated smelling like french fries and getting sent home after like 2 hrs because we weren't busy (that meant my mom had to come pick me up after 2 hrs).

14, my first job was (believe it or not) to travel from school to school teaching about HIV and AIDS awareness. We also covered STIs, but not as highly as HIV. The purpose of the program was to hear all these things from peers, rather than from adults, hoping the info would stick in. I went through intense sixty hour training every year, and yes - I did get paid - so it was my first job.

I babysat since I was 12, but I don't really consider that to be a job since it wasn't steady.
I was 16 or 17 when I started working at a convenience store. I worked about 20 hours a week and made a little over minimum wage (paid in cash). I had moments where I loved it and moments where I hated it. Most times, there was no activity in the store, which I didn't like. It made the hours feel so long; I prefer to keep busy. I would clean and organize, but after doing that every time I worked, I ran out of things to do. My boss eventually let me bring in school work, so that helped. I would wait by the register and read until a customer came in. Once he/she left, back to school work. Other than that, my boss was just rude. He was nice to me, but would often yell at customers. Then they'd come up front and complain to me about it. I'd have to apologize profusely and try to make them happy... He didn't stay in business very long.

I worked at a local pizza shop from the time I was 15 until I went to college. I hated it but it was a steady job. My car, bedroom, and all of my clothes smelled like garlic no matter what I did.

I worked at a local Greek restaurant as a hostess and restaurant helper.

I forget how old I was, but I worked at a local kids clothing store. I actually did enjoy it, with the exception of one bitchy manager.

I was 16 and it was McDonalds. The worst job I ever had. Wouldn't wish a McDonalds job on my worst enemy! Only lasted there about 2 months.
