I think my first pet was a goldfish or guppies, i can't really remember. We had a dog, too, but I don't know which I got first.

Four raccoons.

Then we got the weasel, the possums, the skunks (best pets EVER!!!), the bear, the foxes, the deers... simply put... we had any animal that could be found in southern Ontario that needed a place to stay as an infant... could be found at my house.

It wasn't until I was about eight I think it was did we get our first "normal" pet of a dog that was as big as a pony.

we always had a dog when I was young..even when I grew up it was dogs..funny,,now that the kids are grown, we only have a cat.. Don't know if we will ever get another dog..we had our beagle put to sleep last Sept. and we still cry almost daily for her-she was a part of the family.

We weren't allowed to have pets, per se, but we used to go out in the field and catch horny toads to keep as pets for a while. They were kind of fun

we had raccoons too! I grew up in southern ontario too and we had the any pet goes philosophy as well.

A pair of budgies, but the first lil one I officially saw as my true companion was a wonderful male black cat at my first love, and now O/our lil preciousmutt, he is the other lil one I see as my lil one... ^^ (Had a few pets before too, but always with my sis, so it wasn't so intimate between the lil ones and me... ^^)

I've lived in apartments all my life and could never have a pet. I think my first pet was a fish.

Dog. My mom was a cruel bitch for about 15 years and claimed she was allergic to cats...i now own 2 cats and have yet to see a single symptom of allergies come from her.
