I thankfully have never dropped it into the toilet, but i knew somebody who did.

I used to be in charge some nights at a store where I was working, and they have these handheld phones that you could clip onto your waistband, but I'm a germ freak and I KNOW they never cleaned them, so I'd keep it in the pocket of my vest. I was cleaning graffiti off of the toilet paper holder and it fell out straight into the toilet. I used gloves to fish it out, THANK GOD the toilet was flushed.

I've never dropped my cellphone in the toilet because I don't have one. And honestly, if I did have one, I wouldn't take it into the bathroom anyway.

I never did, but a friend of mine dropped one in once. After I got done laughing, I vowed never to take my phone out when I'm doing my business.

I've never personally done it, but my sister has, and she completely totaled the thing. I do know a person who has dropped it in the toilet and saved it by doing the cell phone-in-rice trick. I would have to sanitize the heck out of my cell phone if I ever did it.
Also, my sister's cell phone when through the wash at that point. It was beyond the rice trick after that ride.

I rarely even bring my phone into the bathroom with me - or it'll stay firmly in my bag or pocket if it's a public bathroom. I'm too paranoid that I'll end up doing this. My step-sister ruined a new phone once by dropping it in a toilet.

I haven't but I used to do cell insurance claims and would wear gloves for this very reason lol
