Have you ever had an unexplained bruise and wonder where the heck did that come from?

So I have a black eye and have no clue how I got it. I'm assuming my 2 year old bumped it b/c that's an everyday occurance, but it still amazes me how many bumps, bruises I get and not realize where I got them. I do bruise easily though.

I'm usually pretty good about keeping track of my clumsiness and know where most of them come from. There have been a few that were unexplainable. My favorite injuries to try to explain are the vicious scratch marks that end up on my body while I'm sleeping. I have razor sharp nails and it seems unavoidable.

Oh certainly! It's happened before. I've found unexplainable bruises and scratches on my body before, but I've not woken up with a black eye.

Yes, but I bruise easily.

I don't bruise easily, unless I'm taking aspirin for something. Then I bruise like a peach.

If that happens, I often have bruises on my legs, calves, thighs and bottom from rough sex, but I can often not remember what caused which specific bruise.

Here, too, but I think it's mostly me bumping into things while I'm focused on something (like at a counter or desk and getting bruises on my belly).

I'm finding lots of bruises, scratches, and pinpricks after my surgery, and most of them don't make sense. I half-suspect the surgery crew were playing marionette with my body, then stuck a fork in me to find out if I was done.

I always have unexplained bruises. The meds I'm on weaken my capillaries so there's always a new one to explain. I've even had masseuses refuse to work on me because they thought they were going to bruise me. Granted, at the time I had just spent a week as a camp counselor and was covered in them so I could see their point

Same here. I guess I just bruise easily; I am always finding unexplained bruises.

Not so much anymore, but when I was younger I was always finding weird bruises in odd locations and never being able to figure out where they came from.

I have quite a few of the mystery bruises. I am pretty active and don't always watch where I am going, I also have no depth perception so I do run into a few things.LOL!!

occasionally, i assume it's either through sleeping, or bumping into things, but not expecting a bruise. I also get scratches at night, but i figure that's either my nails, toenails, or cats.

Oh, yes. That happens to me constantly. I get to thinking about 14 things at once & paying more attention to the inside of my head than the physical world. And I'm a bit uncoordinated anyway. Also very light skinned. So... yeah.

I pretty much always wear leggings or tights if I wear a skirt. My legs are always covered with purple spots.

This has happened to me before, but never in a place like my face. They'll usually be on my legs and I don't know where they came from. If I found a bruise on my face and didn't know where it came from, I'd be really freaked out!!!

Yes! Good to know I'm not the only one. I think we humans are more fragile than we really realize. Heh.

All the time...but I am clumsy and I probably bumped into something and didnt realize it was hard enough to leave a bruise until I see it later, and by that point I've forgotten what I did.

I bruise SO easily there's never a time when I don't have a bruise somewhere on me, usually my legs, even though I rarely bump into things. it's impossible to try to figure out where they all come from or why I think they're interested though
