I'm in the middle of writing my latest article and the interview has me bubbling over with tears almost constantly. It's literally taking me about 3 times longer to write it because its so emotional. I've cried to movies and stuff plenty, but never when reading. Have you ever read something that just stuck a chord and you couldn't hold back your emotions?
Have you ever read something that brought tears to your eyes?

For sure! Any birthday card from my brother or sister gets me.

That must be why it is new to me. My brother is kind of a dipshit and I don't read to many love stories. You should give me a few book titles to try out.. I love to read things that really get to me.

Yes, all the time. But the most memorable occasion was a letter from my favourite teacher after my father died.

Yep. i'm pretty sentimental

I'm trying to write my memoir and it's very difficult because there are a lot of memories I have not yet coped with.

I cry over well written prose all the time...like, embarrassingly often.

I can never read through the book "Where the Red Fern Grows" without crying.

I read the fist chapter of xenocide, I think it was.... the second book in the ender's game series. Anyway, I was forced to put it down and then I started crying uncontrollably. But that was more because one of the characters was killed in a rather horrific way. I may have been brought to the edge before with things that were more emotional, but I can't remember anything specific.

Of course. There was an article on bullying at some middle school in which numerous of the students have killed themselves as a result of. I was able to identify with it so much that I was bawling as I read it.

Not often, but sometimes!

I have done this especially when talking to a few of my close friends. Some stories outside of that touch me as well such as bullying stories or stories of people overcoming self hate when they realize they are worth it
