For example, my girlfriend and I were talking earlier about how an alarming amount of people seem to have a mean attitude these days and act like a douche or a jerk sometimes. Granted, we were mainly talking about players in games like World of Warcraft, which has more bad players than good. But anyway, I responded in agreement, saying "everyone has a little douche inside them." we started cracking up once we realized how funny that was.
Have you ever said something that turned out to be hilarious when you didn't intend it to be?

I can't remember anything off the top of my head, though. It's always one of those "you have to be there" kind of things. My sense of humor is rather dry, so most of it wouldn't translate well even if I could remember it.

My husband and I were talking about a mutual friend and my husband told me had joined eharmony. I was totally shocked and told him I couldn't believe he sang! Then I realized what eharmony really was. Still haven't lived that one down!

When I'm around my best friends, I will say whatever random crap is going on in my head. I'm also a stoic, so I can say anything with a deadpan face. Those two traits lead to me saying something serious that's followed by an eruption of laughter.
I've also had a few completely unplanned Freudian slips. The most recent was while talking about concerts with my boyfriend, who is a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP) and thus abhors huge crowds and loud sounds. While describing the show, I told him, "I don't think your HSPness could handle it" and he quipped, "Don't talk about my penis like that." My penchant for making up words gets me in trouble, too.

This happens to me all the time.. especially when my sister and I are talking. We laugh about everything... even when we are trying to be serious.

You know, I do it so damn much that I can't think of just a particular incident where this has happened LOL.

Yes. And often; though I like to come out with humorous things on purpose, sometimes I try to be serious and it just comes out bad. Like, once, I'd said ' ... and I secreted it away in my pocket', intending it to mean that I had hidden something, but that's not what 'secreted' means. Sadly.
