Have you ever tried to break a Guinness world record or plan/want to?

I remember than a few times during school, there were various times where we tried to break world records

e.g. longest line of canned goods to donate

That kind of stuff. Any one ever try to when they were a kid or even now?

Better yet, anyone actually succeed?

I mean, not seriously. Back in the day, I joined what is clearly a super cool Facebook group that "Has The Most Members On the Internet!!!!!11/" Well, several years later and still FAIL.

I think I joined that, too! And there was another one that mentioned breaking the Guinness record for most Facebook fans and you got a shirt or something...?

My role playing group (which at the time was comprised of six guys [between the ages of 14 and 19] and myself at age 18) tried to document the longest played out RPG during one summer. The sleep deprivation got us in the end ... between the guys pausing for wrestling matches and me running to the store to get cases of Jolt (anybody remember that stuff?), we only made it for 43 hours after two of them decided I was fluffy enough to be a pillow and promptly fell asleep on me.

Closest I ever got to an M-F-M threesome, though.

The only Guinness record I'd like to break is the one set in 2009 where a woman suspended 31 pounds from her vagina. I think she did this with a wooden egg with a hole and a string from which she hung the weights. How can you not want to match that record?

In high school, I had this eloborate plan on how to make the worlds largest jello cup. I could still do it, but it would have cost more than I am willing to spend to have a pointless world record (Jello, I am waiting for you to sponsor me!) haha.

Not seriously, but yes when I was a young teen I tried several times. Sit ups, squats, fastest sprint.

I failed miserably...

Not unless "Most overdue library books" was a record in the book, and I don't even TRY for that. I just happens.

I personally never, but I was there when the town tried to break the record for longest line of ski-doos travelling a certain distance. They failed.

I never have. I wouldn't even be able to come up with an idea of what to do for a record. Most dog hair on my carpet? Most kidney stones in a year? I don't know. LOL
