Have you noticed some of your favorite contributors (not necessarily the recent exodus of the admins) not posting reviews anymore?

I have noticed for the past few months that a lot of my favorite contributors, people that I have been following for years, and always look at their pages to see what they have reviewed, aren't posting any reviews period, or just very rare occasional ones. Some people I still see post on occasion, while others have totally vanished off of the radar. It is kinda sad and disappointing, these people which I might have been following for a while just aren't here. The ones that helped guide me when I was new to the site, and have been very friendly to me. And I have been feeling this for a few months now, it just is that recent events finally made me realize that it might be something more serious than a few people being reviewed out.

And please don't hijack this thread into a heated debate about the exiting of the admins. I do feel really bad about them leaving, and will miss them all, I just wonder if anyone is missing the senior reviewers, or just people that they really enjoy.

I personally have been a bit less involved on here because of my own feelings, but a lot of it has been:

I had finals, which ate all my time,
My webcam is broken
and now it's break, and I've spent this first week off just bumming around and not doing anything

I'm going to start posting more, soon! I think that a lot of people are having a combination of things going on.

I've been noticing this too. I'm hoping it's just because it's a busy time of year and they're all just occupied. But hopefully they'll all be back.

I have definitely missed some of the reviewers I started out with....my reviews fell, but I had family issues and had to move business locations. I am writing them again now things are settling down!!

The longer you are here, the more you realize that people come and go. It's just a simple fact of virtual communities. People leave for all sorts of reasons. Many of the active community members that started around the time I did are now long gone. The plus side is that new members are constantly joining.

I've been around right at 6 months. (Hell, today may be the 6 month mark) and you will find (like Kindred mentioned) there is an ebb and flow. New people join, vets leave. Constantly.

I've been in a period of insanity with my personal life and have been absent here, but always paying attention. Especially with the number of students that use the site (there are human sexuality classes that tell people about Eden and the review program) there will occasionally be periods when a large group of people is gone for a month or so and then the site will get crazy busy again.

There are a few ancients here (I use the term lovingly!), people who have been here since the beginning and seen all the drama, the shit storms.. all of it. They are like the great grandpa everyone loves but sometimes they hide in their room masturbating (fitting, for an adult site) and you won't hear anything from them for a LONG time then you'll get a short message.. and you will know all is well.


Things change. Sites evolve and splinter and communities drift together and apart like the sand on a tropical beach. Occasionally that sand will see the most beautiful weather ever.. and occasionally there will be a storm that just obliterates everything.. and you know what happens? That sand justs keeps on keeping on... because it is sand. It is insignificant by itself, but with its millions of other sand brethren it weathers all. Time, storms, everything. Sand sticks together when shit gets rough, and when it's all over the beach is still there. Maybe dirty, maybe oily, but still there.

Be like sand. Go with the flow, and stay out of my ass crack. lol

I miss the reviewers, friends that always posted my wall, and a lot of good community participation. hopefully things will settle down soon and the community will come back together.

If anyone was wondering about me, I'm here. I've been focusing on my students in the mentor program trying to guide them along the path of reviewing. There hasn't been anything that I have wanted for a monthly assignment recently now that the lingerie reviews have been cut out so I'm just waiting for an interesting product to catch my eye that I can get as an assignment.

Not really. I had noticed upon my return that many members were no longer as active on the Forums as they were say six months ago. But it's the nature of a virtual community. Things pop up, people walk away for a while, that while turns into an even longer while, and soon online things become a distant echo and one that can be pretty easily ignored.

Some of them have completely left that I know of for reasons that I'm aware of. A few are still here but mostly do their blog thing now. I worry about my privacy, which is why I don't have my own blog (though I have thought about it).
It hasn't gone unnoticed at all.

I'm relatively new on EF, but I've heard about some great reviewers that are no longer on here or as active. There are some reviewers that I liked a lot, but then they either got banned or walked away from EF. So now I read their blogs. Still, there are a lot of great reviewers still here and I have my alerts set for them. So if/when they disappear, I'll really notice.

Sorry to seem ignorant--but what the hell is going on or happened with bannings? I know one person who was questionably suspended--but banned??? Want to fill me in-I was AWOL for a few weeks while moving.

I haven't been on EF for long, about a year, however there are a lot of members that were senior members that I would follow, that are no longer here or very active in the EF world, so to say.

I know that some of them have left due to reasons behind the scenes at EF, knowing this because I follow some of their blogs as well, but I also feel that others are leaving or dwindling down due to all the changes in EF.

I myself use to be very active, or for myself at least, in the EF world, but have taken some time off. Mainly because we moved and then didn't have internet, and have just been running into some family problems. However, I would love to get back into the EF world and participate and many of the forums and such like I used to, but with all the changes taking place, I just don't feel as if EF is the same.

I am going to try to stick around and ride out the initial starting period of all the changes and hope that everything goes well and runs smoothly like it did before, but i'm seeing many other higher members and even some new members that are saying that EF is just not the same and they are losing interest in it.

Only time will tell and I know I as well as many others miss some of the senior members and maybe in time they might find themselves back at EF.

I think it's hard for people to be so heavily involved for extended periods of time. It would be difficult to pump out a bunch of reviews if you had a lot of job and family obligations. I think people just get busy sometimes

I noticed that too, but as others have said it is to be expected. I know there have been times when due to personal issues, I have had to pull back for a period of time.
