Yes, I was forced to take them when I was like 7 or 8. I hated them at the time. I've always liked swimming, but I didn't like having to do all the stuff we did in the lessons.

No never took lessons but would still be willing. Last time someone tried to instruct me how to swim they were on the shore and I was in the water above my head after "swimming" or attempting to after 5 strokes. Needless to say I never learned how to swim but can float!

Mostly my daddy taught me. I only went to lessons because I was such a fish that I always wanted to be in the pool!

I never had any lessons, but I learned how to swim on my own. Mostly in the Lake Michigan and some smaller lakes in Michigan.

i did take lessons when i very young, but i didn't learn how to swim from them. instead, i learned on my own when i was much older.

I learned how to swim long before taking lessons, however i really enjoyed the time spent taking swimming lessons and glad my parents make me take them.
