I will turn on the AC when it gets really hot for longer then a day. But where I live, the breeze picks up in the early evening and cools down the house if I open all the windows. We will leave all the windows open during the night, that are high enough that someone could not climb in from outside; and that cools down the house.

I've got this portable fan that I carry around the house with me, pointing it straight at me. Even if it's just fanning me with hot air, the breeze still makes the air feel cooler. I'm more nocturnal and only go outside after sundown during summer. I spend time inside reading, watching movies, and working from home.

No one around here has air conditioning, so when it gets hot the whole city freaks out. When I'm at home, I wear very little and drink lots of cold drinks (preferably full of booze). If it gets REALLY hot I go to my dad's. He lives by the water, under a bunch of trees. Stays nice and cool there.
