Same here. They say those were the best days of your life. Well if these were the best I don't wanna see the worst. I just generally miss my youth. I'd do it all over if I can. I wouldn't leave them get the best of me this time.

Also hated it - pure hell. Whenever someone says high school was their glory days, I really wonder how pathetic they've allowed their lives to get in adulthood. I mean - really? Didn't you plan anything awesome for when you finally have control of your life??

I liked high school. There was some good times. I miss the people. I had a good group of friends I hung out with. We went our separate ways after high school.

High School? 4 good, bad or indifferent years in hopefully and 80+ year life span. I didn't love it - or hate it - but the fact that I have missed 10 consecutive reunions (yes that's 50 years!) indicates that I never considered it important.

Having classes with good friends. Seeing them 5 days out of a week- and then hanging out after school.. that doesn't happen when you're an adult. Other than that- nothing.

Being a stage crew member. My high school was big on the performing arts and even supported a local hair band. It was exciting to be behind the scenes helping to pull the performances together, especially since we got a lot of time off from boring classes to go work rehearsals the week before shows!

Absolutely nothing! It was okay while it lasted but nothing I'm pining for today. The good friends I made in K-12 are still friends today that I visit with when I return to my hometown.

Like Gunsmoke - I've failed to attend any reunions which attests to the my lack of interest. As a matter of fact, my 30th reunion was two days ago and attending wasn't even a consideration.

I really wanted to be a Valevictorian (my graduating class had 27...yes 27!) so I could give the following speech:

"Someone once said, 'High School is the best time of your life.' They lied."

Unfortunately, I was not one of the 27. I miss my involvement with theatre activities and that's about it. The only folks from HS I really talk with now are a few of my favorite teachers, which was also par for the course back then as well.

I was a weird theatre kid with a pixie haircut and a strong personality. I got bullied on occasion and did not play the typical HS reindeer games, so I didn't really fit in.

Being able to sleep in class and not miss anything. I'm in college at the moment and every class period counts, but that doesn't change the fact that my days are longer than they used to be and I'm exhausted.
