I have these dreams occasionally that a horde of demons is coming, and I am always excellent at organizing for the battle, but when a demon comes closer I just crumble down whimpering and crying like a kid, scared to death and just getting totally blocked!
Honestly: would you go and fight if your country was attacked by some enemy? :)

If the battle was at my home or town, yes. I'll protect my children to the end. Would I go to find a battle and fight? No, I would stay at home with my kids and protect them.

I'm not going to wait until they get to my city. At 58, I'm not going to be the greatest soldier - but I would go.

I get an intense feeling of wanting to go fight when/if something like this happens, but now that I have a wife and kids to look after I probably wouldn't go unless it was on my own doorstep. I feel like I have a responsibility to take care of my family personally, but that's just my opinion.

I don't think I would. But I am not saying no as I've never been in that position.
I do beleive that in this day and age, humanity should have evolved enough by now to not need violence. So in saying that, I do not beleive that there should be any wars in the world. I know I am going to get some flack for this opinion.

Well, I live near the naval base, so if there was an invasion, there might be a battle there. Though I doubt civilians would be needed, what with the large number of personnel, there. But, if civilians were needed, I'd go.

I'm a woman and I personally believe women shouldn't go into combat.
It's my personal belief and I'm not gonna argue about it to defend it, I believe it.
I'm not a big fan of war. I admire the soldiers who do what they do, but I WISH they didn't have to.

It is why, although I hate war, and wish humankind could live in harmony and peace (I believe it IS possible), the fact is, the state of human nature and the world as we have known it for thousands of years makes this totally impossible right now....SO, it is FAR better to fight the crazies on THEIR turf then here, and so sometimes war is just the right and only path to take.

I really don't like the arrogance implied in war--that our lives and freedoms are worth more than the lives and freedoms of others. I know there's more to it than that, and I mean no disrespect to those in the military and who strongly believe in what they do, but I'm never joining the military.
And if it was some sort of zombie/demon apocalypse crap like in your dream, I wouldn't stand a chance.
