I love all sorts of hot cereal. Can't really get into cold cereal unless it's one of those really bad for you, sugary all-calorie kids' cereals.

I ate only cold cereals for most of my life - until I discovered the health benefits of lower glycemic index cooked cereals. I get past the blah taste of oatmeal by adorning it with nuts, fruit and chocolate. There's nothing bland or boring about it - and it's way healthier (and cheaper) than most boxed cold cereals.

But I hate cold cereal that is just sugared down. I love bran flakes (yup got a lot of slack from everyone as a child for loving grandpa's breakfast). And I love my oatmeal with honey and fruit, and a splash of yoghurt... I'm in heaven!!!

As much as I love a big ol' bowl of oatmeal (hold the milk, go crazy with the cinnamon and brown sugar), overall cold cereals are just more fun. My tastes may be a bit immature, but nothing hits the spot like some Frosted Flakes or Cocoa Pebbles.
