How descriptive are you?

Contributor: js250 js250
I just got done visiting with a friend that stopped by to make sure I am okay...she is pretty blunt and down to earth and is not very descriptive about her feelings, happenings in her life, etc. She was hurt by a relative who said she was just too much of a bitch to talk to and needed to learn some niceties. WTF?? This girl will give you the shirt off her back and run ragged to make sure someone is okay.

--Is this all in the tact or being descriptive while talking?
--How do you feel about people who are to the point and do not bother to describe why or how they feel that way?

I love blunt and straightforward people. I get told all the time that I am rude because I usually say what I think and feel matter of fact and direct. I don't like to sugar coat things and say what I think. I appreciate honesty.

I do notice online that I spend more time phrasing my words so they cannot be taken out of context though as being direct online people usually take it the wrong way.

In real life, I get told frequently that people do not appreciate nor do they like me because I am rude. I appreciate honesty, and I value people who don't waste my time, and I enjoy not dancing around the bush. Direct, to the point and not covering up with artificial sweetener is in my opinion the way to go.

I'm very blunt and straightforward. I get called a B*tch all the time for it, but have learned to embrace the title. To me beating around the bush and sugar coating things will only lead to someone becoming more hurt once they find out what you did. I try to say things as nicely as possible but people like to take it out of proportion usually. I don't like lying and I consider not telling the whole truth lying.

I am pretty blunt, don't mean it offensively but think just spitting it out is the best

I am very blunt and I will apologize before I even say something but I rather tell you the truth then tell you a lie, and getting it all out is for the better.

I tend to think ahead and I almost always have a solution to a problem worked out before I discuss it with the people it affects so it looks like I'm running over people and I really don't intend it that way. I just think the quickest way to get between two points is in a straight line and I try to say things in as few words as possible so it makes people think I'm being curt. Since I'm Southern by birth (and not the grace of God), I'm expected to be this saccharine sweet thing and I just don't think that's being the "real" me. It seems shallow and shady to me.
