How do you keep holiday leftovers?

Contributor: KnK KnK
I know by all means, that perhaps by now that I shouldn't still be eating holiday leftovers, but here I am, eating homemade beef stew and stuffing. It sounds risky a week later to me, but I haven't gotten sick from it at all. I think it's so well preserved because while it tastes great, it's also EXTREMELY salty, which is probably keeping it preserved this long.

So my question is, how long do YOU think it's okay to keep eating holiday leftovers, and when does it gt iffy?

I'd say 5 days. Best way to go about it though, freeze half keep half out. That way you wont waste a ton of delicious food and you can make yourself a holiday feast some other day. Or make stew or whatever and freeze half of that. Typically anything with meat, 5 days and you should toss it for safety sake. I have had food poisoning 3 times, from other peoples food. I know how bad it can be... don't risk it.

I keep mine in my tum tum LMAO Naw, I agree. Freezing some is always the way to go, that way in a month down the road when you`re craving some of that delicious food (like I`m still craving turkey from October but have none) you can open your freezer, reheat and dig in!
