Do they live in the same house as you?
How many people here are responsible for the care of an elderly family member?

My mother isn't elderly, but I assist her because of her disabilities (acquired through an accident). I've become her driver and do the shopping as well. It's mainly because I'm unemployed, had been attending college, and am living here.
Although I am resenting living here. I'm getting frustrated with my job hunting and I'm feeling older than I am because of being deeply involved with her medical problems and aging. C had expressed concern that I'd end up like his Aunt S: gave up her entire life to look after his grandmother, and is now a grey little woman with nothing in her life except reality TV. I don't want to be like that.
I need a job so I can move out. Mom said I should move out when I'm working, to live my own life ...

We provide some financial support to my wife's parents.

My mother has lived with us for years, but it wasn't until an accident recently that it has now become me looking after her. It's not full blown care, but its now much different than when she moved in with us.

I used to take care of my mother until she died; I lived a few blocks away from her and I spent several hours there each day, not just helping but also just hanging out. Mom and I were good friends. When she started requiring constant care, my wife and I were preparing to move in with her, but before we could do that, she ended up hospitalized and never recovered enough to come home.
I empathize with Chilipepper's comment; being constantly involved with the problems of age did tend to make me feel old. If I could have my mom back, I'd gladly do it again (and more), but it's hard being a caregiver.

I don't take care of anyone yet, although that's looking like it's going to change pretty soon.

I don't and I hope I don't have to, my family has a bad history for this sort of thing.

I've been caring for my father daily for about 3 months (living in his own apt), but he just moved to an assisted living facility which will lower my responsibility. I have two young boys and I feel like I've hardly seen them! It's difficult to balance it all. .....And then there's that late review....

I don't care for any elderly at this time

Care for mother. Not under the same roof, but on the same neighborhood.
