I have:
3 older brothers on my Dad's side (one who passed away)
3 older sisters on my Dad's side
1 younger brother on my Mom's side
2 younger sisters on my Mom's side
They are all technically "half" but I have always hated using that term. Family is Family.

I'm an only child. When I was younger I hated it and felt very alone, but in my later teens I realized it was such a blessing considering my parents' income and the small size of our home. If I had a sibling, I think I would have had a poorer standard of living.

I spent my childhood as an only child. I now have a step brother and deceased step sister on my mom's side and a step sister on my dad's side.

My mother has two children, my father has...well we'll never really know.
I know I have one half-sister who was adopted by her stepfather when her mother re-married and I supposedly have one half-brother from one of my father's numerous affairs.
I only associate with my mother's first child (I'm her second and final) but I don't even really claim her. We're about as close as two fence posts on a country lane. She's ten years older than me and we seem to come from two completely different planets.
