How many times do you hit the snooze button?

Contributor: MamaDivine MamaDivine
lol-I ask this because as I type, I am listening to 3-yes THREE alarms going off. Im sitting in the kitchen, making his stuff for the day and I hear his phone (rooster crowing-ugh-hate it) going off. Then comes alarm clock number 1. Ah yes, 3 minutes later, theres alarm clock number 2!

Im sitting here thinking to myself "How long before he is going to wake up and turn those damned things off lol".

OK, so he JUST hit snooze, for the third time in the past 30 minutes. Why on earth does he set the alarm so early!?

So-How many alarm clocks do you have and how many times do you hit the snooze?

I just use my phone alarm and I just set it as late as possible, really. No need to hit snooze - more interrupted sleep, same time getting up !

My alarm is my two year old son and as many times as I have tried he just does not have a snooze button and is very persistent when it is time to get up. But there was never a more adorable alarm clock made

I don't have any alarms, I wake up between 8 and 8:30 every day >_> except those weird, super tired days.
When I need an alarm I set my phone to vibrate and wake up to that.

I'm an extremely light sleeper so pretty much anything wakes me up, and tend to wake up throughout the night anyway. I go to sleep at about 1 a.m. normally and wake up around 4:30 a.m., go back to sleep, wake up sometime between 5:30 and 6, go back to sleep and wake up at 8.

If I sleep late I end up with headaches and in an awful mood so I wake up early. Heh.

NONE!! Seriously, it is a pet peeve of mine! (This is probably because of the hubby - who hits it at least 10 times!)

If it's for work, none. When it was for class (before I graduated) it just depended on what was due or what was going to be talked about that day. If I have nothing planned I will reset the clock a few times if I'm tired or just in one of the moods like "there is nothing to do today so why get up?".

I agree with Zombirella if it's for work or anything concerning my daughter's schedule - none. I have learned through the years though that I have to have the clock placed across the room to ensure I have to physically get out of bed and not just reach over and hit the snooze...too much temptation is not always a good thing.

I had been so tempted to invest in a mobile alarm clock (link) for an ex-boyfriend of mine who literally hit it an average of 4 times.

I don't want to hit the snooze, but I usually end up doing it at least once.

Mine is on the opposite side of the bed so I have to get up. The few times I did do it when I had something important to do I just found that it was pointless because I'd spend those extra 10mins or so laying there anticipating it going off and wouldn't fall back to sleep anyway.

I don't really use the snooze button and if I do I just end up getting up before it goes off or laying there waiting for it to go off. Ha. Unfortunately it just doesn't work for me.

Between him and I we have 3 alarm clocks. I usually set a couple alarms on my phone. That makes for a lot of alarms in the morning. Multiple presses of the snooze buttons on multiple alarms makes for much less snoozing than either of us bargained for.

None on work days.

I normally hit mine four to six times...after six, the alarm cuts itself off. I purposely set my clock for much earlier than I need to get out of bed.

Totally depends on the day, I try not to be a repeat snooze button user so if I wake up and am feeling tired I'll usually just reset my alarm for 20-30 minutes later and usually that's plenty to get me up and going. Chances are if my alarm goes off multiple times that will only signal the cats to stop bothering me more (so they can be fed in the morning), and while I can snooze between alarm buzzes cats walking all over me are a lot harder to ignore.

I wish I could, but it's just not an option. If I roll over and go back to sleep, I get into the REM state where I don't hear things as well if I were just waking up or falling asleep and I completely miss the next five rounds of alarms.
