I think it is taking over my life. How to slow it down and fight the urge? I literally wacked off 16 times today. I have not eaten anything yet and it is 8:20 pm. Its not the first time I have had one of these days. Anyone else felt it was taking over?

Yeah was also thinking that. I feel like it just takes away the pain temporary thats why i do it so much. I guess some people drink do drugs i masturbate.

It's probably better than developing a drinking or drug habit--I've never heard of anyone overdosing on masturbation.

But seriously, if you feel that you go to a certain behavior just to distract yourself from feeling bad, you should speak with a doctor. Counseling or antidepressants might be in order, especially if you find it difficult to find the motivation to go out and do other things to keep yourself from engaging in the same habitual nature.

Everyone likes to numb their pain once in a while and distract themselves from it. However, making it a habit instead of dealing with the issues that are getting to you isn't healthy, and not making you any happier in the long run, you know? You owe it to yourself to get the help you need to be happy, and masturbate, you know, once in a while. Every day, twice a day--I don't think that's too much for some people. But doing it that often, coupled with the going all day without food, feeling that it's a problem but not really knowing how to stop yourself--it's probably going to take all the fun out of masturbating, after a while.

Do you take any meds? I'm curious, because I have adult ADD, and I take Adderall for it. One of the potential side effects is an increased sex drive. Which is interesting, because on the other hand, it can also DECREASE your sex drive (which it does for me, I can't even get hard on my meds unless I really work at it)
But 16 times is A LOT for one day. I think the most I've ever done in a day is 5 or 6, and that was the early puberty days when the fascination with boobies began :3

All jokes aside, if it's something you're doing to deal with emotional pain, I would suggest seeing a therapist. "Therapist" is a word that makes most people cringe, but they aren't all bad, and there's no shame in wanting to fix yourself and your problems. Also, do you exercise regularly? I ask because doing so could help a lot. Having an orgasm releases chemicals in your brain that can make you feel content or happy, and just relaxed in general. Exercise releases those same chemicals! I know that for me, I feel so much better throughout the day if I start off with simple work out. I'm talking like, 30 pushups, some crunches, jump rope or jumping jacks, and then a short walk around the neighborhood. Takes an hour out of my day at most. And then I usually masturbate once before I go to bed, it feels more rewarding at the end of the day, pluss it helps me sleep.
If it's something you're doing to deal with boredom, and just to kill some time, I'd suggest a hobby ;P
