I just had my first ever "dead on arrival" of a premium "high end" toy. Has this ever happened to you?

I have had "cheap" toys arrive dead on a few occassions, or die shortly after I started using them. However, I have tossed out my old Jelly toys and am replacing them with HIGH, HIGH end toys now. However, as I just got about my fifth, $200 range toy, it arrived VERY dead (won't hold charge...or work at all).

I assumed quality and pre ship inspection would be far, FAR higher in these toys then in the $25 toys.

Anyone had experience with quality issues and failures in the high end toys? I'm just learning, but at least EF, as always, seems to be SPOT ON, with customer service in fixing the problem and replacements.(confetti ) . THANK YOU , EF. Your customer service alone will keep me a customer for life!!!!

I had a FunFactory toy break within a few uses. (This was before I found Eden.) I called the company...land where I bought the toy and they sent me a return tag, so I wouldn't have to pay for return and I had a new toy in a few days. The new one has been great for years of nearly daily use! I evidently just got a dud, which is rare, but happens. The replacement toy worked well and we have had no problems with it.

Hasn't happened to me but it really wouldn't surprise me if it did. I'd just consider it a freak incident and get a replacement.

My Harmonia (Close2You is more a middle-range brand I suppose?) had a problem with the cap being loose so I had to press on it to get the vibrations to be steady and as strong as they should be. Apparently this is a problem with maybe 1 in 10 Harmonia, but the wonderful people at Eden still replaced it! Being my first order here I was so impressed! One of the reasons I'll never buy elsewhere what I can get on here!

I don't think I've had any higher end toys show up DOA, but I have had a few cheapies show up DOA. I'd handle yours the same way for a high end toy as for a low end toy: send in a support ticket to say that it showed up DOA and you'd like to exchange it.

I don't have any high end toys yet, but will very shortly as I'm fixing to buy myself a b-day present, but I can imagine how disappointing that would be. I get too excited when waiting for a package to arrive, and would hate for it to arrive Dead! Eden's great though !

I haven't had it happen to me personally, but I have no doubt it happens. It's like any electronic device. There's always a couple of duds that slip past the factory floor.

I had my first Fun Factory purchase, a G4 Big Boss, go crazy (turn itself on, couldn't be turned off) after a single use. At first I was a little upset, I'd been waiting so long and everybody raves about FF, but accidents happen and my return went through quickly, they even threw in some massage oil to try to make up for it.

I thought I had it happen once, but it was just one of those toys with a "safety" and I found I had to hold down the button for an abnormally long time to get it to turn on.

My husband bought a remote vibrating egg that showed up DOA. I was a very sad panda because I was planning on wearing it to a party we were going to the day after it arrived. Unfortunately he didn't buy it from Eden though, and there was no way to return it

My Nea wasn't totally DOA but would only hold a charge for 30 minutes. Lelo was really nice at first and then I think I annoyed them too much because they stopped responding to me. I'm a little bitter.

I think there's about the same risk as a high end one not work as a cheap one. Some expensive ones may be built better, but I can't always say they perform better..i.e. Bsoft cup toy was my worst one ever!

I went with other. I've had high end toys die on me a few months after receiving them. Because for a while EF was blocked to me (damn you Great Firewall!!!) I was able to order through another company in Shenzhen and just sent them money. I thought that by buying higher end toys I'd be safe. But... ahhh... not so much! My Tiger broke and in negotiations to get it replaced.

I've had a couple of low end novelty toys not work upon arrival from EF. But I don't buy those for their vibrations! I but them because they light up or make me laugh!!!! So I'm not worried about sending them back.

This hasn't happened to me, but the nice thing about high end products is they usually have a good warranty and you can get them replaced. Also, EF is amazing and I'm sure they will help take care of it.

I haven't gotten a "expensive" toy from FunFactory, but their Leo that i bought from here was DoA, Getting a new one though!
