I thought about surreptitious' discussion on flying, Would You Want To Have Wings? & thought about different things someone might want to develop. As long as it doesn't involve magic, feel free to mention whatever you think of. It can be grandiose or ridiculously simple, as long as you want to invent it. I am assuming you would want to fulfill a need somewhere, so it has to have an application, either to yourself or others, no "useless" gadgets for this discussion, please! So, what gadget would you invent & why?

I don't usually want to influence my discussions too early with my answer, but this might give people an idea of how you can answer, so...I would invent remotely controlled nanobots that could perform all sorts of surgical functions from within & never have to be removed. They could monitor vitals, etc & be used to perform surgeries when needed, as well as fight off invading organisms & control bodily functions. You could have a nanobot army inside you!

Years ago I thought up the idea of plastic coating the big paper shopping bags with handles to make them weatherproof. Oh the money I would have if I had copyrighted that idea!
My current invention? Easy, a dildo/vibrator harness for a solo user to hold in place for hands free action, maybe even one that the user could easily tug on handles/cords of sorts to tighten and loosen the pressure only when needed.

I would invent an instant-transportation device. It does sound magical, but I recon it will definitely become real in the future. Then I wouldn't have to spend a lot of money on plane tickets.

I would invent a slim, collapsible laundry folder. Easy and effortlessly pops up, folds your laundry, and then gets broken down again. Yeah...I really hate folding laundry for five people!
