As the title suggests, if you could invent a toy, what would it be and how would it be unique and new?

For my toy, it would be clear glass with a slight g curve and a flared based, with a large bulbous head. There would be pronounced ridge detail, and detailing around the base as well. They might be bumps or ridges so if you squirm while sitting on it, you would feel it.

What would make this toy pretty unique, is that the toy would be hollow. Inside this hollow shaft would be a flash light. Or the toy would just be hollow so you can use your own flash light for this!!!

That sounds like a really interesting toy. I'd have to think long and hard about what I might design mine as. I honestly have no idea!
