So what language would you most want to learn to speak fluently?
If you could learn another language and speak it fluently what would it be?

Klingon.
I wouldn't mind learning German or Russian.

Haha, I would so learn Klingon if I could.
And I think I'd have to pick French. To me it's such a beautiful sounding language, and my car club has a chapter in France, so I would love to be able to communicate with them without having to use an internet translator or go through one of our other chapters.

I've always wanted to talk like the Brits, they speak with such intelligences.

I know some French and could be fluent if I really went back to studying it like I used to. So I didn't choose that one.
I chose Japanese cause I took an introductory course to it, loved it, and then haven't studied it since. So I'd love to be able to magically be fluent in it!

I think French would be pretty. Then I could talk to my boyfriend in French, which would be exciting.

I always wanted to learn Italian. It just seems like such a beautiful language. And I'd love an excuse to travel there!

Out of the choices in your list, I picked Hindi. The culture fascinates me. Bengali might be interesting.
I have always secretly wanted to learn Gaelic. If I could have picked my country of origin, it would have been Ireland.
I did very well in Spanish classes during high school. I have lost most of my vocabulary but I retained most of the grammatical rules. I could skate by if I absolutely had to do so. I had considered French classes instead of Spanish in school but I was annoyed with all of the dropped sounds in speech.

I'd want to speak digital binary.
Failing that, I'd want to learn Mandarin and Cantonese...but not have my girlfriend find out.

I'd choose Ukranian- it's like Russian but much more musical, and close enough to Russian that it's practically a two-fer.
Hindi would be very useful for my career, and it sounds nice as well...
or perhaps Esperanto, which would only enable me communicate with other idealism geeks.

Polish so I could converse easily and with less misunderstanding with my Son's grandparents. They are such lovely people that it would be amazing to be able to explain to them what is going on and be respectful....ya know?

Japanese. It's my major!

Spanish! French is the runner up.

I've taken a class in Russian language as well as Japanese language but didn't really learn enough to communicate. I did learn German and studied at a Deutsch-Universität for a year. However, I wish that I had learned Spanish instead. Spanish is much more useful here in the USA.

Japanese.
I watch so much anime that I have to read subtitles all the time. It'd be easier if I could just understand them. Plus, I lived there for 8 years as a kid. It'd be cool if I actually knew how to speak it.

Spanish. there are too many Spanish speaking people around here, and I would just love to know what they are saying

If I could MAGICALLY know a new language it would be Spanish. Basic French and poor Japanese is not really cutting it in the job market :/
I want to learn Welsh So Badly. I think it's absolutely gorgeous.

A lot of my relatives are German so it would be nice to be able to speak it when they come visit. I took a semester of it in college though that makes me pretty useless for communicating in it.

Italian.
