Is your workplace full of "drama and politics" or "pretty stress free and mellow"?

Contributor: Bignuf Bignuf
Sometimes I wish my workplace was far, far less about people back biting and more about getting their jobs done. I hate "at work" drama and politics...for no reason. How about you?

All of us are independent thinkers and we have a good mix of personalities going on, sure we've had our disagreements, but we ultimately come to a conclusion that benefits everyone in the end. EF is seriously one of the best companies I've worked for in terms of getting along (and really, everything else).

(Sorry, I realize how 'meta' that is, but I just wanted to participate.)

Work at home, so only drama is what I make

I work for a home care agency, so drama is usually at a minimum since we're all off doing our own thing.

I work in retail with a bunch of 20-somethings, of course there's drama.

However, it seems to be the employees in their 40s and 50s who cause the most drama.

There is a lot of needless stress in retail to begin with and then add in some people fresh out of school and BAM, drama!

It happens. Oh well. I just kinda shake my head, give my two cents and move on.

The place I used to work at was ridiculous as far as drama and politics go. I transferred to another unit on campus and it's so much more mellow. I love all my coworkers

I am a stay at home mom. There's drama when mini dictator doesn't get her way, and stress when the days are long - but in general I MUCH prefer spending my day with a 1 year old than working with a room full of adults. Much less stressful!

Where I work is pretty cool, I work with disabled adults. I can't stand one woman right now but the people we work for always brighten up my day

I voted "mellow" and "other" because I work at home. I live in a shared home with friends so the environment is pretty friendly.

Dramatic work environment, but I just try to work around it.

I'm not working right now but there was a lot of jealous pettiness going on at my last job.

When I worked it was definitely full of drama. I worked with a bunch of women, with all varying types of personalities. There was no escaping it.

My last job was horrible in the drama department. I'm very thankful that's behind me now.

Pretty mellow. My boss has problems with his coworker but not with me. He tries to get mad at me when he's made at him but I don't take that BS lightly.

It's pretty mellow when my CEO isn't involved, she's the only one that goes all psychotic and stresses people out.

Majority is laid back and stress free but of course we have the drama makers. They tend to stick together while rest of us avoid them.

The people I work with, while some are nice & get along with THEM, the OTHERS are still in their "teenage phase"
DRAMA DRAMA DRAMA.
