I have some friends from Cali and they said that Jean skirts are a no. But as far as I can tell down south it is totally okay! I even wear them to casual Friday if it is too hot for jean pants! What do you think?

It seems like the only people I see wearing them usually pair them with a matronly looking shirt, Keds, no make-up, and their hair up in a bun... it's not the most stylish outfit... (apparently it's a "thing" around here, but I'm not a native.)

I like to wear them with a tank top in the summer if I am going to be outside. I didn't realise they weren't fashionable anymore. Shows what I know lol

There are some religious groups around here that are against girls wearing pants, so you'll see groups of girls/women at the mall dressed a lot like asphyxia described. Picture the Duggar girls.

Exactly! I was trying to think of a politically correct way to say that, but Asphyxia & you did better than me. lol That's exactly what I think of, and one of the reasons why they don't appeal to me.

Wow interesting replies, I am still going to wear mine! I never thought of the duggars, but you can wear any kind of skirt as ankle length.

I love my not church lengthed approved jean skirt with a cute top and either my colored timberlands (if I feel like going back to college style) or some cute sandals!
