In the last few months, my girlfriend has gotten comfortable using the toilet in front of me (I'm still getting used to it...) and I've noticed one big difference between us. How we wipe. She wipes by sitting up slightly and reaching around the back, and I do it by, well, spreading my legs.

I'm actually very interested if there's one way that most women do this or if maybe I missed something in bathroom etiquette school?

I spread my legs. I've seen people do the reach around though. Most everyone i've seen or talked to spreads em though.

First reach around, then squat and spread my legs, just to make sure I'm nice and dry.

Wiping from front to back is the sanitary way to go, lessening the chance of infections.

I was always taught to wipe from front to back, but I wipe front and back separately.

I actually can not do the reach around, no matter how hard I try. I just can not turn my body like this without cramping up and pinching nervous, so I have to spread them.

Wow, now I really need to be careful what I do in front of my partner. I cannot believe people notice those things about each other. I wouldn't want him to know how I wipe now...
I do a bit of both actually. Front to back is important though, to avoid infections

I voted for reach and spread.

For peein'? spread legs.

For pooin'? Both, I guess. Reach around, go front to back, when it's all clean, check the other way. I'm absurdly clean about my nethers.

And baby wipes FTW.

That's how I feel about it. I have tried because I feel odd peeing in front of my lady and she does this proper-looking reach around and I do this spread-leg thing.

I did the reach around when I was pregnant and couldn't go from the front anymore.

You actually SHOULD do the reach around so that you don't wipe anything from your anus into your vagina. (sorry if tmi & totally grody)

No that's not TMI. I always knew the whole front to back thing, I just didn't know how most women achieved this, lol! Spread-legged or reach around haha.

I feel weird having asked this question, but I was genuinely curious.

I put spread, but then after I'm done with that I do something else, I stand up to dry my bottom. I guess that's the same as the reach around? Maybe it's the reach around in standing position? Does anyone else do it this way?

I will usually do an extra wipe or two to make sure I've gotten all the wetness from anything off.

That's funny, I've never noticed how another wipes. I wipe front to back to avoid bacteria/infections.

I wipe while sitting, but I wipe front and "back" separately. And I try to wipe from front to back on the front part.

after patting, I stand spread legs and wipe from the back. when I was little whoops got yeast infections and learned the proper way.
