Oh...I forgot Deserts. I never think of those as "left overs". More like "how much is left"????

Like you, we tend to think that if we eat it all in a couple sittings it is worse then eating it all stretched over time. Nothing true about it, of course, but eating a whole chocolate cake in four days FEELS less guilty then eating it in TWO days. Trick of the brain,I guess.

i'll eat them for as long as we have them, which is usually only 2 or 3 days.

I used to take left overs to work every day for lunch. But now the wait at the microwave is way too long, I would miss my lunch break if I had to wait to use one. I dont mind eating left overs. It saves me the time of making a lunch at 4 in the morning.

I usually try to go with left-overs no more than a day.

Honestly, if it smells ok, it's a go for me.

But I'm a pig, so leftovers don't have much of a chance to go bad.

I sometimes try to cook something that will at least last me a couple days, but no more than that. Being vegan is difficult for me in having to cook all the time. I try not to make anything beyond that, because I have a chronic nausea problem and find myself not being able to finish what I've cooked before it goes bad.

I only save it for 1- 2 days afterwards, however, I only do that if I KNOW I'm going to use it. If not, I just freeze it to use another time, usually for kids' lunches since they don't eat much.

I will eat leftovers for at most 3 days afterwards, as long as I'm not sick of the food.

I will eat them the next day, but not after that. My husband will eat them several days later if I haven't thrown them out yet.
