for those who are lo longer required to have their reviews edited, do you anyway?

Do you trust yourself as editor, or do you prefer to have a second set of eyes examine your review, even if you aren't required to?

My eyes twitch often due to stress. I am not an editor, but with a lot of help in reading reviews and also getting a lot of help from Antipova, I feel confident that I can write reviews without many mistakes. The only ones I see occurring is when I'm thinking ahead as I'm writing something else. For example---I might say "My usually routine is...." When it should be "My usual routine is....."

I do those mistakes often and I just read over my review a few times in depth to make sure I haven't made those mistakes. But I now ask when I write a review that if anyone sees a mistake anywhere to send me a private message. I think it might be helpful that when someone publishes a review that does not require an editor, that editors can see it as a newly published review and at least access it to read it and edit it if necessary. Just a thought.

I wish that they still gave us the option to send it to an editor! I feel like I'd love to send it along to someone so that they could get the points and I could get a good once-over!

After writing as many reviews as I have, I am pretty confident about my editing. I still make mistakes, but I contribute that to human error, I really go over my reviews a few times prior to publishing them.

While I don't currently write reviews, it would be nice to have someone help look over them.

I don't think that I can have my reviews edited anymore because of my rank. It would be nice to have that option because I tend to overlook small grammatical and spelling errors.

I was writing reviews long before the editing program came about, so I have a pretty good handle on writing my reviews without wanting a second set of eyes to check them over. Occasionally I do make mistakes, but the kind people who read my reviews are usually pretty good about catching them and letting me know. Human error is something that happens, and is very humbling, lol.

I wish this too! I'm still paranoid about making errors, so I read mine over multiple times before submitting. Sometimes I wish I could submit it to an editor just to give it a look, but I understand it would make significantly more work for the editors.

I'm fortunate in the fact that I have a couple of good "friends" on here (well - I feel that way about them even if I've never met them) who will drop me a note if I make a spelling error or something like that. I really appreciate it and always thank them and then go correct the error.

The worst part is - I do read and reread my reviews and then reread them a third time.

Oh well!

i'm not there yet, but if its an option, i wouldn't mind having my reviews edited by someone else for the first little while. there's always little things i miss that others can catch easily. its just how it is when you edit your own works

I always type mine up in word processing software, so they get checked for spelling and grammar as I go. Then I recheck them several times, and give them to my partner to look at too for a fresh pair of eyes.

I do the same, but if you notice and Error let me know. I often miss things on my own reviews.

I would like a second editor to look over my reviews, no matter how well-finished I think they are.
