Looks like the Post Office is really going to cut back, and may end up disappearing one day. When YOU have a package to send, to you use the Post Office, or other service?

I send thinks a lot, and enjoy the Postal Services Priority Mail, however, I almost never send letters anymore and even pay all my bills online. More important or breakables always go with FED EX, and I have no issues.

They say the Post Office may cut back Saturday Delivery and maybe Wednesday too. They may still go "broke" before all is said and done.

So...if you have a package to ship, who do YOU ship with?

IF I have a package to ship I use the Post Office unless it's a computer and then I use UPS b/c the weight is cheaper with UPS than it is for USPS on items like that. I wouldn't like to see Wednesday's mail run shut down because that is when they deliver the shopper where I live and I have to use those adds to comparison shop for my weeks groceries. I do pay a lot of my bills online.

USPS is the cheapest way to send things and is beyond convenient. You can pay for postage online and schedule them to pick up the package at your door. It's fantastic. It saddens me that they're having troubles now.

I use USPS, whenever I have something sent UPS it takes longer.. I have been waiting on a box from UPS that's been sitting in TX for 3 days now !! It was supposed to be here the 12th, I'm so pissed. It's special flea stuff for a kitten I took in that has fleas & now they are all over my house... It won't be here till the 18th now & my house iis going to need to be bombed cuz UPS sucks ass!!

USPS! Because shipping to Alaska any other way can end up costing me two or three times the contents of the box, sometimes more! USPS recognizes Alaska and Hawaii are part of the US and if you ship Flat Rate Priority, it costs the exact same to ship something to FL as it does to AK! Thank God for the USPS...LONG LIVE THE USPS!

My husband used to use UPS to ship computers he would build to his clients. After about the second time we had to file a claim, take photos, and threaten to sue (because they played drop kick with both CPUs)before getting reimbursed, we swore we'd NEVER ever use them again! That was over 10 years ago. I haven't used UPS since. I go out of my way to give FedEx and USPS my money instead, they have never damaged a package in my 38 years!

I always use USPS. I love their Priority Mail service, and I pay many bills by actually mailing a check still. My post office even has an Automated Postal Center - it's AWESOME!! I can send a package even when the post office is closed, and it will get picked up as soon as the post office reopens. I love it.

I've never sent a package FedEx or UPS, because I never send anything heavy enough for it to be cost effective. When I have shipping options for online ordering, I always pick USPS when available.

I use USPS. There aren't any UPS or FedEx stores around here. Whenever I receive stuff from UPS, the packaging is usually torn up or pretty beat up, so I don't think I'd ship through them.

We always use USPS Priority Mail to ship packages, although most of our payments are done online, we still use the mailing service from time to time.
Lawmakers should expedite on restructuring USPS retiree benefits and health cares, since that's the major issue that's crippling the USPS.

USPS when weight or location within the US is an issue. The flat rate box works well for this. For other items that are high-dollar or have to arrive at a specific time, it's FedEx.

USPS because they're faster and for my purposes usually seem to come out cheaper.

USPS is far more convenient and cheaper for me.

I wouldn't mind Saturday going bye-bye (my college PO closes on Fridays anyway), but I hope the USPS won't go away completely. UPS and FedEx are extremely expensive for me.

USPS.

I usually have issues with UPS beating up my stuff or it reeks of smoke..

Saturday being axed wouldn't bother me, but going away completely? BLAH.

USPS or UPS. Small items and flat rates. Oh, media mail too all go postal. Big items go UPS.

Usps to save themselves is to send out more junk mail. With a winning plane like that, maybe they should just go away. I would like to see some real leaders take charge and make some hard decisions.

I have always used USPS for everything I send. The only time I get UPS or FedEx is when I order online and that's what it's sent in.

I have been active and unactive in the zine world for about ten years now, so I will always be a fan of the USPS. Easiest and cheapest way for zinesters to ship.
