Music voice preference and sexual orientation

Contributor: twelve13 twelve13
I remember having a conversation with my dad when I was little in which he said that he tends to like female singers because he's attracted to females? I personally also tend to prefer female singers and I have a preference for females. Just curious about you guys!

I prefer women, though I do have a hubby, and I tend to prefer male voices in singing. This is mostly because most female singers annoy me with the type of music I listen to. I listen to a lot of R&B and women can NOT rap in my opinion. Not enjoyably, anyway. Usually their voices are like nails on a chalkboard to me. Now, country is fine when it comes to both men and women, some female rockers are alright. But overall, I prefer guys

I don't think there is any correlation. I love rock music, so I like the male singers mainly, because, for one, most are male, two it's my favorite genre. It's as much about the guitars and such than the voice.

If I were listening to a different style of music, I might prefer a female voice. Just depends....and I prefer women sexually.

Too broad a brush to paint IMO

Interesting question. I'm a straight married male and I prefer male singing voices when it comes to rock n roll or rap. Some other music genres varies. But I will say this, I prefer a female voice over a male voice. An example is the navigation system in my car...it's set to a female voice.

I actually almost never listen to female singers at all - I can count on both hands the number that I'd honestly say that I really like.

I like men and sometimes women, but for singing, I like either. However, I often prefer a deeper voice, singing or speaking; I respond to it on a visceral level.

I have no preference but I seem to listen to more male artists. It doesn't seem to be a real preference though, more like most of the artists in my favorite genres are male.

I love a good soprano voice but thus far in life I have only had relationships with men.
Mariah Carey or Barry White...I like the extremes

I prefer women but for music I don't have any prefernce.

I heared a discussion of two queer men who were complaining:

'The party was horrible, all the time music for heteros: Rock music all the time'
