My first computer was Mr. Computer (Spaceballs)

My first laptop was 'Dinosaur' - I got it in 2006, and it was a 1994 Toshiba. When I took it through airport security in 2008, TSA didn't recognize it as a laptop and thought it was a bomb. It took an older agent to ID it as a real laptop.
Second laptop was 'Holly Hobbie' because I stuck a Holly Hobbie (old school) sticker on the case. The keyboard was a painintheass most of the time.
Current one I'm borrowing from my dad, so it's merely known as 'That Compaq Thing'.
My desktops never had names, although my called my ex-husband's desktop 'Noisy Trash Bitch' because the casing was always off and the processor was loud and the fan kept breaking down and overheating the system. So glad he took that with him.

This one is named "much bigger than the last one." But that's because my very first laptop was this really tiny guy, like, 12" across. I could fit it in my purse!

I named my first computer "Mr. Bubbles".
My husband now has all the computers named after LOTR lands. For example, his main computer is Middle Earth. The computer with all our movies, etc on it is Mordor, etc. I think it's cute. Although, I'm a huge geek.

I've noticed some pretty angry names. I don't really name anything. Not stuffed animals (lord knows I have waaay too many), computers, etc. I have a hard time naming pets too. I'm pretty satisfied calling it "laptop" or "computer" Anything else requires too much thought and too much self-judgement

Mine is named Tyrone. When I was at the step of setting up a new laptop where they ask you to name it, my son asked me to give it that name. So there it is.

My Desktop is named Zephyr, for a light wind, since it's fairly fast and also because there's so many ventilation areas for it.
My Laptop is named Frankenputer, lol. It's named that because it was my very first computer (that I didn't have to share with anyone) and there are so many different parts from all different people who kind of donated bits they weren't using to make it what it is. The Hard drive was given to me by Synthetik, then it was put into a different laptop altogether, since ClaimedByDarkness and her husband didn't need it and the screen of the Laptop it was in originally was broken when he got it from a friend. Then the RAM was from one of Synthetik's friends who had a laptop who's Motherboard fried or something serious like that, and just gave it to him. So ol' Frankie is pretty much made from all those "harvested" parts, lol
