Are your nipples or genitals pierced? Would you consider getting them pierced?

You are right, usually nipple piercing, if done correctly by a good licensed piercer should not effect your ability to breastfeed. Sometimes, especially if it's been a short time after the piercing was done that you got pregnant, the channels may not be fully formed (the channel where the metal part goes, and the tissue eventually turns into a skin like tissue, rather than an internal like tissue, for the sake of clarity) Sometimes the open channels will leak milk, but is isn't a big deal. I have a few clients whose babies would pop off to see the milk spray from the open channels and laugh! (NEVER wear jewelry while breastfeeding. I think that's pretty self explanatory. Also, do not use anything to keep the channel open, like fishing line. I had a client do this, and the baby swallowed one of the loops of line, and we waited for a day for the line to come out in the baby's poop. A scary wait! But, both Mama and baby were OK.) Some women do find that during the breastfeeding year, plus the pregnancy (when some women's nipples just become TOO sore to keep the jewelry in, despite not having problems before) the channels may heal. Some piercers won't do a second one until you are finished having kids, some will. I think it depends on how your body makes scar tissue. I have a tendency towards keloids,(a hard form of scar tissue common to African and Mediterranean and Middle Eastern people) so I've waited until I'm finished having kids.

I always advise women to let the piercer know she may be eventually thinking of breastfeeding one day, and although it is impossible to avoid the tubules milk flows through, they can be placed to minimize any issues.

Alley, I have the opposite problem. I would like to have one or both nipples pierced, along with a Triangle, and My Man doesn't want me to do either. He's got tattoos all over, but he has a "thing" about metal. (He doesn't like it, except in ears.) Who knows?

Dom, I am assuming the Triangle didn't have much effect on your ability to use vibrators? I can see where a VHP or a HHP would, but I've heard if you have enough tissue for a Triangle, you should still be able to use a vibe directly on the clit?

I'd love a Triangle, but I wouldn't give up my Wahl for anything. You haven't had any problems with the Triangle and even intense vibes? I am pretty sure I want a slightly curved bar, or maybe a teardrop and not a ring in the piercing.

If you want a third opinion on the triangle and your anatomy, you should probably go to Elayne Angel. She's the one who invented it and is probably one of the most experienced female genital piercers in the world. If it's not possible and you still want something she'll help you design something more suitable to your build.

Not everyone has the right anatomy for a triangle. If it's not done properly, there is the risk of hitting and piercing the clitoral stalk (before it branches into the arms around the vagina) and possibly causing problems with sensation. Also, some people just don't have enough tissue to get behind the clitoral stalk. You wouldn't want an other problem piercing that might end in scar tissue.

If I remember Angel's book right, she said if the Triangle has to be removed and you can't hold the channel open (but it was done properly the first time) there is too much of a risk of scar tissue to do a second one on most people. It does depend on your anatomy and the elasticity of the tissue around and behind your clitoris.

I have had my nipples pierced twice and unfortunately they have rejected both times. I'm considering getting them done again because I loved my piercings so much. I'm also considering getting my hood pierced, just for fun.

Yeah, that would be completely ideal but.. no dice, sadly. She is super far away though, and last I read she was retired? I could be totally wrong. Either way, as a broke university student, a couple hours' worth of gas money is all I can spend on piercing-related travel, flying hundreds of miles to New Orleans is tragically not in the budget.
