Do your pillowcases match your bed set?

Contributor: klyte klyte
I recently bought a new bed set that didn't come with any pillowcases (odd I know,) so I have these zebra, lime green and pink pillow cases going on with this dark, kind of bohemian esque gold, toupe colored cover and it looks nothing short of ridiculous. Does your bed set match at all to each other or is it random pillows and thrown together?

Depends. If we have matching pillow cases we'll try to use them together. Right now the pillow cases match the sheets, but before we changed them they didn't.

I have way too many pillows to have them all be matching, but I try to color coordinate.

When I change the sheets, the pillow cases match for a while. But, I change pillow cases much more often than the sheets, so after several days, I'm changing the pillow cases, and then they don't match the sheet set. But I always try to make them color coordinate.

My pillow case is Pokemon, and my duvet is Pokemon, but my sheets have sharks because they don't make XL Twin sheets in Pokemon
(So I feel like this made me sound much younger than I am...)

My bed sets match, however I also have oddball pillow cases, so they aren't always the same.

Nope. My bed has a sort of unified color scheme, but it's all over the place: dark blue sheets, grey/blue patterned blanket, and one light blue pillowcase and one black pillowcase.

DEFINITELY - ALWAYS!
I can't deal with the pillowcases not matching. The two sheets have to be from the same set too.

Sort of.

My proper bedset is eggplant-y colour with gold details, but didn't come with any sheets. I use black or gold with it and both look like they were meant to be.

It also came with like.... FOUR big pillowcases (and they're HUGE, one is "super long" and the other is "square" - which took a while to track down) and two actual small decorative pillows.

I think I have two of the big pillows in cases on there, and two normal-size pillows in black cases.

I love me some pillows. XD

Ours is an "ensemble" ( I can't not laugh when I say that, sounds so pretentious) but anyway, it matches/coordinates.

Yes ours do.

They don't match exactly, but I make sure they coordinate well. I do have some small throw pillows that match our bedding that I put on when I make the bed, but don't sleep on.

yes always on the main pillows. the smaller standard pillows just have white pillow cases on them.

You rock. Go Pokemon bedding!

As for bedding matching pillowcases? Right now yes, usually yes. Sometimes? No. I try to keep sets together.

My pillowcases didn't come in a set with my bedding, but I try to keep everything eitehr black or white so they don't look too weird.
