What party is most likely to get YOUR vote at this stage....about a year from the next PRESIDENTIAL election. Remember....we are ONLY speaking about likely presidential voting.

At this early stage, I think I'm more likely to vote.......

Can't decide so early. I have to see what is Palin's move, if she runs, I'll make sure not to vote for that party.

Libertarian.. because really.. republicans and democrats are the same thing at the end of the day. Sure they wont win, but its better than those scumbags that always get ellected. Inr eality you're better off voting for congress and your state govornment if you want stuff done.. the president is a figurehead with little real power for change.

I will once again send in my write-in vote for the Elder God Cthulhu.

(And before you say 'You're wasting your vote!', just remember who will be running. I'd rather an evil god of chaos than the yahoos that usually run. At least with an evil god of chaos I know where I stand and I know how I'll get screwed.)

It's too early. We don't even know if Obama is going to throw his hat in the ring. I highly suggest he doesn't, but I don't know who I'll vote for.

I think there's too much old conservative money in the republican party. I don't trust old money or conservatives. So, basically? I'm game with anyone that's not conservative. And pro-lgbt rights. Or at LEAST neutral.

The most important debate topic for me is nuclear energy; if a candidate is pro-nuclear energy of any sort, then I won't vote for him or her. Chances are that I will be voted for a third party (perhaps Green again this year) because of this.

And I'm perfectly fine with that. My family tried to dissuade me from voting for a third party because "it doesn't matter" and "they'll never win." Will a third party take office? No. Could a third party some day take office, as the American people begin looking at other political options instead of pigeon-holing themselves with a two-party system? Yes. I vote third party to be part of the statistics, part of the riding number of voters unhappy with the the leading Democratic and Republican options and aching for something new.

And the "vote for the lesser of two evils" chatter is pure BS. 1] You're still voting for something evil and 2] There ARE other options out there, so why not vote for one of those?

Partisan politics have done nothing for this country. Nothing gets accomplished, because the people we elect insist on playing this childish party game of "us versus them". Honestly, I feel like whoever wins, we lose. I am reminded of the South Park episode where Stan refused to vote in the school mascot election for either a giant douche or a turd sandwich. Pretty much every election feels that way to me.

I know I will not be voting Republican; I am already sick of them trying to out right-wing each other. I did a write-in vote in 2008 because I wasn't happy with the options so I may end up doing that again.

I take this seriously. I voted third party once and a horrible Republican got into office. I still feel responsible. I won't waste my vote again. Remember: The number of people who voted " Green Third Party Candidate" in 2000 ensured that Bush II got into office. It isn't something to be taken lightly.

There are significant differences between the Democrats and the Republicans and although I view the candidates in detail, I usually almost always end up voting Democrat. I did vote Repub for Illinois governor once, but the Democratic runner was a nut case.

The only way I would vote Republican is if former Wisconsin governor Tommy Thompson ran for president. He did a wonderful job in Wisconsin, and my state lost a real asset when he became Health and Human Services Secretary under the Bush administration.
