I never felt any pressure from my teachers, but my family was another thing entirely.

Nope.
I DO feel bad if I Disappoint a loved one, though... sad
I guess everyone feels that way...well, guess I shouldn't say "everyone".
I DO know some people out there that hurt THEIR loved ones more than any one.
