Scientist may have found particles moving faster then light, breaking laws of physics

So it appears that scientist have data that suggesting they have found particles moving father then the speed of light, which would violate the laws of physics as we know them. Links:

In all likely hood this is like just an error, but still I figured anything that says "we may have just broken the laws physics" deserves a thread

Einstien was wrong!

My husband and myself and our youngest child went to a lecture by a member of NASA last year. He talked about String Theory, particles and speed and asked "Why can't matter move faster than the speed of light?" My Man shouted out, "Because Einstein said so!" Everybody broke up laughing.

Yeah, it was a room full of nerds.

We were getting into the car and My Man looked at me and said, "Wow, what a bunch of nerds in that room." I just rolled my eyes and said, "Look in the mirror, Man."

Well we all knew it had to be an error, and the anti-climax conclusion is it was because of a loose wire. link

It kind of funny since it shown that even the most advanced technology and brightest minds in the world can be tripped up by was is basically stranded tech support question #2 "Make sure all the wires are connected and securely fastened"
