I really do prefer Pepsi and Mountain Dew to their store-brand counterparts!

Mmmm Jones' Soda is way good! I rarely drink it though. Once in a while I'll grab a Dew, and it's gotta be the Mt Dew brand.

The brand name doesn't really matter to me as much as the ingredients. Ginger ale is about the only soda I drink, and I want it to have real ginger in it, not just flavoring.

There are quite I few things that I prefer store brands over national brands. Cereal is the big one. Most of the time, I like Kroger brand just as much, if not better. Publix and Kroger also make their own specialty brands of ice-cream, and they are amazing.

For soda, I am okay with the store brands. They are almost half the price, and, yeah, they are a little different, but I'm just not that picky about it.

Maybe I'm just weird, but there are subtle differences in soda that just makes me loyal out of personal preference.
When younger, loved the 7-Up. Then they changed it to something resembling dish water soap (don't ask how I know this).
After that, it was Sierra Mist, but then they went natural and it wasn't the same. Drank Sprite for awhile until those last 5 lbs weren't coming off and switched BACK to Sierra Mist and noticed whatever kinks they had before had been worked out and it finally came off.
Plus, blood orange soda (this seems to taste the same everywhere) and sierra mist make for a great drink name - Blood Mist.

I'll go for brand names when buying, but if someone offers an off-brand, I won't disagree.

I'm not much of a soda person, but I stick with brand names when I do drink them.

I have my preferred brands, but if a different brand is on sale, I might get it to try something new.
I generally never buy store brands though.
