Superbowl - ladies

Contributor: SecretToyLover2 SecretToyLover2
What do you do during the superbowl? Are you a football fan, right there next to your hubby? Or are you the one baking the snacks and going to bed early?

I try to act interested, and I use this time as an opportunity to show off my cooking skills.

I'll be spending part of the time watching the game with him, and the rest on Eden. If it's our favorite team playing, I might watch the entire game, but sadly they've lost their chance.

Never had to go through this. My ex-husband never liked sports, and Master has only a passing interest in soccer.

I kind of view it as sort of 'Guy Time'. We don't expect them to interrupt our 'Girl Time', so they get the same respect in return. If you both share a passion for it, then it's great bonding time.

I'm the chef for the day and resident beer wench. I don't know a lot about football and what I do know consists of buzz words and information I've picked up from the web, so it amuses my husband greatly when I ask him a ton of questions about what's going on and then we have great sex and life is good.

I don't mind when he wants to watch football and if he's super interested in the game that night, so be it. I'll write reviews!

I come downstairs to watch some commercials, although last year they weren't all that great. I can always catch them on YouTube.

I'm upstairs reading or watching Puppy Bowl with my youngest daughter most of the time, if we don't have company.

I avoid (or try to) everyone as sports are insanely boring to me.

I love football, but this year I do not know how interested I am going to be with the Giants and Patriots... may be pretty boring. BUT I will be watching it to see the commercials and I will be flipping to the Puppy Bowl a lot!

Yeah, I think it's going to be a defensive game and not a lot of offensive. But we'll see.

It's the other way around in my relationship. My man hates sports, so he's actually stuck watching it with me.

We both don't like sports much so we don't do anything for the Superbowl, etc.

Que?

Are you implying that having a defensive strategy is chicken? (I don't get it...)

REAL chickens. They're gonna be cheerleaders or something. Yeah, a defense only game is chicken, too.

I like the Superbowl, but I'm not huge into football. I like to make bets, eat all the delicious food, drink some beer, and watch the funny commercials.

I won't be watching it. I don't even know what teams are playing. The puppy bowl sounds great. Too bad I don't have cable.

i love football, though i have to admit that i'm still learning about it some. the pats are my fav team (& would totally tap tom brady in a heart beat). last yr, my bf & i fooled around in his room during 1/2 time. this yr, i'll be at home w/ the fam, cooking all the snacks & stuff.

The beginning half, I didn't watch. I sort of watched the second half. I sort of let my husband know that I knew what I was talking about. Didn't mean to. Now I can't play dumb. Couldn't help it, that was a good game!

I don't really follow football much. I have a team, I watch their stats, if they make it to superbowl, then awesome. If not, Im not broken hearted about it. I got into last night's game towards the end though, the fourth quarter was pretty exciting! I was rooting for the Giants, and when Brady threw that last ball and they almosttttttttt got their touchdown with 1 second on the clock, I about had a stroke LOL! (Mainly because I was talking a bunch of smack on my FB page about how the Giants were going to take it lol).

So I have to say that if its a close game, exciting plays, Im all over it

I love football, but I'm much more a college football fan. But we had a few folks over, made some kickin' food, drank a home brew, and watched the game. Lots of fun.
